League City is the Study Capital of Texas. We waste so much money on studies here it is mind boggling. The big daddy of them all was the River walk study, where we spent over $500,000.00. Recently the Parks Board proposed the River Walk II plan (Trails Master Plan) Yet no one involved has a copy of the River Market Study.
Last year we paid consultant for an in depth study of how to improve Main St. We need action instead of studies. The proposed combined Economic Development Corp. will be the vehicle we need to take action.

Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission
Now that the courts have decided that corporations are the equivalent of natural persons with regards to federal political donations, do you think the State of Texas will follow? If Texas does follow the federal lead, what do you think that will mean to state, county and city elections? Will the politicos in League city step up their candidates campaigns by garnering increased monies from local corporations? Will evil developers and avaricious local businessmen flood candidates coffers with corporate money? Would corporate money be a death sentance for candidates who take it? What should happen to candiates who take money and hide its source by using names of residents instead of the real companies or people who gave it?

Stop the persecution of Chris Reed
Somebody needs to call the Mayor and Arnold Polanco and tell them to stop wasting city resources in a witch hunt against Chris Reed. It is making our city government seem vindictive and foolish. Chris has left our city lock stock and barrell. He has a new job in another municipality. What purpose can be served by these continued attempts to malign Mr. Reed?

Shake up at City Hall
There have been significant changes in personnel over the last six months at city hall. The most recent are significant as these are purportedly as a result of a management study done by the city administrator. What do you think these changes mean? Were these people terminated with cause or where there other issues that drove their dismissals?
